So Sketchy

Paper Issues has SKETCH issues starting today! We’ve been playing with the peeps over at Simple Scrapper to create some awesome projects with this sketch:

PI sketch

Kinda love it.  It’s perfect for Instagram prints… which is what I used on my page:

Sweet Kicks_Fancy Pants_Jess Mutty

I used Fancy Pants Designs What a Wonderful Day on this and the black and white checked paper is from Memories Captured.  The star transparency is from the older line, Childish Things.

I obviously added more elements to my design than were present on the sketch but the basic layout is the same.  I have a problem with just wanting to add more and more embellishments, I confess!

So this is a pretty fun issue, huh? We want to see TONS of linkups with this sketch… layouts, cards, whatever ya got.  AND you can win  TWO prizes: a 1 month subscription to Simple Scrapper & Everyday Story Teller 1&2 download. We wanted to get in on this action, too so Paper Issues will also be giving away a $20 Gift Certificate to the PI store!

To enter the giveaway or link up your shtuff visit the Paper Issues blog and check out the hop!

And guess what?! Personal codes are BACK for shopping… that means you can get 20% off any time with my code:scrapgoo

S’more Inspiration

This is a bittersweet post to write today.  The content is sweet but I am sad to say this is my last project for The Curtsey Boutique.  I’ve had a great run with them and the products have been super fun to play with but my plate has been quite full for a while now and change is sometimes good for the soul!  I’m sure I will still be using lots of Curtsy Boutique embellishments in my projects in the future, regardless.

Smores-Kit

I love the possibilities for these wood berry baskets.  This would be the perfect gift for an end of summer BBQ.

The marshmallows are in a decorated glassine bag, with a Hershey bar of course, and the graham crackers are in a glassine envelop tied with twine and a chalkboard tag.

Now to just avoid eating it before I give it!

What’s Up

Oh, my poor neglected blog and readers!  This is what happens when my husband finally takes vacation and I spend two weeks doing every activity under the sun with my kids.

And this:

So forgive me for abandoning you all but I had memories to make and now I have that “need a vacation from vacation” exhaustion.  Today the boy is back at school, the husband is back at work, and it’s just me and my little lady hanging out at home.  Whew.

In the mean time you have to check out one of my newest favorites, featuring chipboard and flair from UmWowStudio and an old school Pink Paislee collection, Queen Bee.

I think you are magic

I “forced” DeeDee to make me that bee flair.  I knew I wanted it for this photo and I just love all things bee related, including the hex chipboard background that looks like honeycomb.  So cute!
